Overview
Most of the linguists in the University of Strasbourg are LILPA researchers. The research unit focuses on the major fields of French linguistics (phonetics, morphology, semantics, pragmatics, textual linguistics). It is composed of specialists in socio-linguistics, roman linguistics, computing linguistics, “corpus” linguistics, French as a native and foreign language, German, English and Greek linguistics and dialectology.
Reseacrh focus
LILPA was built upon the merging of three research teams :
- Linguistics and languages didactics
- Phonetics
- Research group on European multilingualism
It is currently comprised of five research teams with specific focuses:
- Language didactics
- Discursive functioning and translation
- Research group on European multilinguism
- Speech and Cognition
