Overview
The ARCHE research unit brings together historians and art historians working on the Middle Ages, Modern Times and the Contemporary era.
Research focus
Research within the unit is organised around three main themes:
- Sources, knowledge, methodology
- Areas, Identities, Borders
- Authority, Constraint, Liberty
This broad programme embodies the team's specificities: a diversity of approaches, the importance of history of art and of the history of German areas, working on sources, areas studies, research on power and liberty.
